Clinical Supervision

Begin Your Journey Toward Licensure with Confidence

Congratulations on completing—or nearing completion of—your graduate program! Reaching this milestone is a significant accomplishment, and the next step toward independent licensure is an exciting opportunity for growth as a clinician.

At SAZA Counseling and Supervision, we believe clinical supervision is more than a licensure requirement—it's a collaborative relationship designed to support your professional development, strengthen your clinical skills, and help you build confidence as an ethical and competent therapist.

Our board-approved supervisors bring experience from a variety of clinical settings, including private practice, community mental health, nonprofit organizations, inpatient hospitals, residential treatment, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), and managed care. This diverse background allows us to support associates working with a wide range of populations, diagnoses, and treatment settings.

We value a collaborative, individualized approach to supervision. Every associate enters the process with different experiences, strengths, and professional goals, so supervision is tailored to meet your unique learning needs. Whether you're refining your clinical skills, navigating ethical dilemmas, developing your professional identity, or preparing for independent practice, our goal is to provide guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback every step of the way.

Our supervisors have experience supporting associates who utilize a variety of evidence-based and theoretical approaches, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • The Gottman Method

  • Family Systems Therapy

  • Attachment-Based Therapies

  • Trauma-Informed Care

  • EMDR

  • Substance Use Treatment Models

  • Solution-Focused and Collaborative Approaches

  • Other integrative and specialty treatment modalities

We believe supervision is a mutual learning experience that encourages curiosity, clinical excellence, and continued professional growth.
