**offers Video Supervision sessions**

Hello and congratulations on completing (or near completion) of your graduate program!  I am sure it has been a grueling few months/years and you are eager and excited to begin gaining your post grad clinical hours.

Let me tell you a little about myself and the services I offer.

I received my MS in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University, Houston campus in 2008.  I completed my clinical hours in 2010 and became a TX board approved supervisor in 2012.  During this time, I gained experience in many areas within our field.  I have Inpatient hospital experience as well as RTC and PHP levels of care.  I have worked in non-profit agency settings and for-profit private practices.  I have owned and operated a large private practice and individual practice for the past 10 years.  I also have 8 years working with and within the managed care system.

Although I have experience with adults of all ages, couples, and younger children; my passion really lies with adolescents and young adults.  I value career counseling/coaching and feel this is an intricate part of working with this age group.

I have been a TX state board approved supervisor the past 9 years.  However, I believe my supervision journey began a few years prior when I co-opened my private practice counseling center and began hiring pre and fully licensed counselors to work for the practice.  During this time, I quickly learned that I love supervising others.  To me, the supervision process is a journey of growth and exploration for both the supervisor and the supervisee as you accomplish your goals of becoming a fully licensed practitioner.  Much like in therapy, I attempt to foster a collaborative approach to tailor supervision to your needs.  At first, you may not know what that looks like.  That is ok.  My hope is that through the supervision process we can find clarity together.

From a theoretical standpoint, my primary training has been in postmodern and social construction theories with an emphasis on family therapy.  I consider myself a collaborative therapist/supervisor and tend to lean towards those practices when working with others.  However, I also have training and experience in utilizing parts of several modalities.  I have also supervised LPC and LMFT Associates who subscribe to a diverse set of theoretical practices and techniques including (but not limited to) CBT, DBT, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Gottman, sexual health therapies, various SUD treatment models, trauma techniques, EMDR, attachment theories, etc.  I am open to learning about various ways to help others and believe the supervision process is an opportunity for us to learn from each other.

As your supervisor, I will oversee you as you obtain your hours towards becoming a fully licensed clinician.  I offer supervision services for Licensed Professional Counselor and/or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associates in Texas who are working towards full licensure as an LPC and/or LMFT.

The following are required to begin supervision:

  • graduate degree/final official transcript,

  • taken and passed NCE and MFT Exam,

  • submit signed paperwork

LPC and/or LMFT Supervision occurs an average of 1 session per week based on a schedule we co-create. $65/session, $50/paired session (2 supervisees). Group supervision: $30/session offered monthly. *
